Is There A God?

Akh*%$#&!

I don’t care what you say! Absolutely, there is a God.  Our God, with a capital “G”, is not a pagan god made of brass or wood.  How could anybody believe that a “god” of brass and wood could help them?

Our God is with me always.  My God knows my every thought. But I have to believe in Him.  I have to draw on His power.  He is there to listen and help me with my troubles.  Sometimes I am in so much pain I cry out in anguish to Him.  Sometimes I’m angry with Him.  But knowing Him calms me and gives me confidence and peace.

The prophet Jeremiah tells me this is what the Lord Almighty says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find Me with all your heart.  I will be found by you ….”

An ageless promise for all of us from our God.  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”

To receive and experience God’s Presence, we have to believe and trust in You, God.  We reach out to You, Lord, in prayer, in love, in reading the Scriptures and in listening for Your will for our lives.

Reflecting on Jeremiah 29: 11-14, Psalm 139 and Hebrews 13: 8.
