We Are Works In Progress
Paul tells us, “Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect
will.”
In our addiction, we let peer pressure and social media mold us. Our “friends” were comfortable for us.
Some of us thought we knew what was good for us. We knew how to make our way in the world. That
didn’t have good consequences and we admit we made bad decisions. We suffered miserably.
We are called to not be conformed to the world but be transformed by renewing our minds. Such a
radical process to change the way we think and what’s important in God’s kingdom.
“Trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will
make your paths straight”.
We open our hearts and minds to God’s Way, The Truth and The Life. God transforms us through the
Holy Spirit. Not by ourselves but through prayer, Bible study and worship. We are learning to wait for
the Lord instead of trying to make everything happen ourselves and on our schedule. God will provide
and give us direction is His timeframe. We are becoming more responsible and accountable.
God, You Have Been There All Along
You were there all along for those that seek You. Thank you, Lord for Your everlasting love and kindness.
You give us great hope for the new life in Jesus Christ. Amen.
