An Easter Letter to God
A psalm written by the men in the Loaves and Fishes addiction treatment program:
An Easter Love Letter To God
“Dear God” (seems hardly enough),
You are Holy. Our Heavenly Father. The Lord Almighty. Merciful. Loving. Everlasting. Our Friend, Guide and Companion.
As a baby, Jesus came to earth as Immanuel (God with us). Jesus’ life and ministry teaches us how to live and that Jesus is love. But to experience this we have to declare Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
When we hear the story of Jesus’ crucifixion, we feel for His followers’ emotions of being crushed, disillusioned, astonished and running away in fear. We feel empty, anxious, what would they do now?
But the more we study the Scriptures, we grow to know that this was God’s plan to sacrifice Jesus and have Him carry all our sins – past, present and future. But only if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
On the third day, the tomb was empty and Jesus was Resurrected! That is the greatest gift anyone can receive. By accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are granted eternal life. Salvation. Forgiveness for all our sins. God’s love is always wider and stronger than our sin.
Thank you for our new life and to be reborn. Thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you for always being here with me,
Your Child
